Expo ‘Chimera’ is ‘a fire breathing’ van vijf jonge artist van Kunstacademie St Joost Breda.
Meerkoppige createur ‘Chimera’, zelf product van verbeelding, belichaamd deze groep makers met verschillende interesses en uitvoeringen.

Voor Roos Slieker is art niet alleen maar visuele expressie maar instrument voor sociaal commentaar en empowerment.
Lucia Reinhardt vangt met haar installaties schoonheid en complexiteit van de natuur en wereld om ons heen als een grote samenkomst van verbonden toevalligheden.
In werk van Rebecca de Nooijer staat verhaal en beweging, in elke vorm van het woord, centraal.
Zelfexpressie vuurt boventoon, maar ze laat ruimte voor de toeschouwer om zich binnen de context van het werk te kunnen plaatsen. Dit brengt maker en toeschouwer op een andere level, tot een gevoelsmatige ontmoeting.
Jay Minheere schildert intuïtief door zijn inzichten opgedaan onderweg met verschillende technieken te visualiseren. Fotografie helpt Jay om intieme transformatie van een mastectomie te vangen. Belden zijn verhaal van Kwetsbaarheid, kracht en verandering.
Ivy van den Kieboom zoekt naar grenzen van verbeelding en materie. Haar werk draait om spanning tussen verhulling en onthulling. Haar laatste werk gaat over de seksualisatie en objectificatie van het vrouwelijke lichaam.

Expo ‘Chimera’ is ‘a fire breathing’ by five young artists from the St. Joost Academy in Breda.
The multi-headed creator ‘Chimera’, itself a product of imagination, embodies this group of makers with different interests and expressions.
For Roos Slieker, art is not just visual expression but a tool for social commentary and empowerment.
Lucia Reinhardt captures the beauty and complexity of nature and the world around us with her installations, portraying them as a grand gathering of interconnected coincidences.
In the work of Rebecca de Nooijer, story and movement, in every sense of the word, are central. Self-expression takes the lead, but she allows space for the viewer to place themselves within the context of the work. This brings both maker and viewer to a different level, leading to an emotional encounter.
Jay Minheere paints intuitively, using various techniques to visualize insights gained along the way. Photography helps Jay capture the intimate transformation of a mastectomy. His work tells the story of vulnerability, strength, and change.
Ivy van den Kieboom explores the boundaries between imagination and matter. Her work revolves around the tension between concealment and revelation. Her latest work focuses on the sexualization and objectification of the female body.
